1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines prohibited uses of IPComms services. Violation of this policy may result in immediate service suspension or termination.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may NOT use IPComms services to:
2.1 Illegal Activities
- Violate any federal, state, or local laws or regulations
- Engage in fraud, including telecommunications fraud
- Make threats, harassment, or stalking calls
- Conduct illegal gambling operations
- Distribute illegal substances or contraband
2.2 Spam and Unsolicited Communications
- Send unsolicited bulk voice calls (robocalls) without proper consent
- Violate the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
- Violate Do Not Call (DNC) regulations
- Send spam SMS/MMS messages
- Use auto-dialers for illegal purposes
2.3 Fraud and Deception
- Spoof Caller ID for fraudulent purposes
- Impersonate government agencies, businesses, or individuals
- Conduct phishing or vishing attacks
- Misrepresent your identity or business
2.4 System Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt our services or network
- Circumvent usage limits or billing systems
- Resell services without authorization
- Use services for traffic pumping or artificial inflation
2.5 Harmful Content
- Transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, or offensive
- Distribute malware or malicious code
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Promote violence or discrimination
3. Compliance Requirements
You MUST:
- Comply with all applicable telecommunications regulations
- Maintain accurate Caller ID information
- Honor opt-out requests within required timeframes
- Obtain proper consent before recording calls
- Cooperate with law enforcement when legally required
- Report any suspected abuse of our services
4. E911 Requirements
If using our services as a primary phone line, you must understand the limitations of VoIP E911 services and maintain accurate service address information.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
We reserve the right to monitor service usage for compliance. We may take action including:
- Warning notifications
- Temporary service suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to law enforcement
- Legal action for damages
